Felt Shropshire and surrounding areas, mainly within around 50 km from the epicentre. Felt reports described, "house felt like it moved from left to right", "noticeable shaking through floor", "chair seemed to wobble", "felt an odd trembling through my office chair lasting around three seconds" and "all the windows rattled". This is the largest onshore event since a magnitude 3.8 earthquake near Grimsby, Lincolnshire on 9 June 2018. Location of today's event is around 45 km northwest of the magnitude 4.7 ML Dudley, West Midlands earthquake in 2002 and 50 km northeast of the magnitude 5.1 ML Bishop's Castle, Shropshire earthquake in 1990.
